Brad Brockbank

Mr. Brockbank has nearly 30 years of experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors, in the fields of biomedical and environmental technology commercialization, business and economic development, public policy, and journalism. He has worked with Foresight since August 2009 as a principal investigator and senior reviewer for biomedical and biotechnology assessments and as a lead consultant on new product development and business development initiatives. He also serves as the Licensing Executive as part of Foresight's ongoing support of Xavier University of Louisiana's technology transfer program. His areas of expertise include: drug discovery and development; drug delivery; diagnostics; protein, cell and gene therapies; immunotherapies; respiratory therapies; and oncology.

From 1996 to 2008, he built and directed the Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization Program at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (now National Jewish Health). While at National Jewish, he participated in the formation of start-up companies, negotiated and oversaw the execution of license agreements, developed innovative internal and external marketing programs, and managed budgets and personnel. Previously, he developed and implemented environmental technology commercialization and stakeholder involvement strategies for the Departments of Energy and Defense, and the Western Governors Association, as an employee of Battelle Memorial Institute and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He was a policy adviser to former Colorado Governor Roy Romer. He is an active member of the Association of University Technology Managers and has held several volunteer leadership positions in that organization.

Mr. Brockbank received a Bachelors degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
