Over the past seven years, Mr. Claxton has gained varied experience working alongside university researchers and entrepreneurs to in-license, develop and commercialize technology. His interests are diverse and include the life science, energy, and defense industries. Mr. Claxton began his career as a business analyst and strategic planner for VitaTech, an organ preservation and wound healing startup based on technology licensed from the University of Louisville. Following his work with VitaTech, he became business operations manager for an Alzheimer's Disease diagnostic and therapeutics startup based on technology licensed from the University of Kentucky.

In 2007, he founded Green Orb, LLC to assist innovators and entrepreneurs, from diverse industries, in commercializing their technology. To date, he has played a key role in receiving over $7 million in federal, state and local grant funding. Mr. Claxton holds a B.S. in Finance & Marketing from Indiana University Southeast, where he was a Student Ambassador, Senate Chairman of the Student Government Association and was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honor Society. He is a current member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) including several LES committees, the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).
