Euan Morton has been producing reports for Foresight Science and Technology since July 2009. He mainly concentrates on those inventions which have an Information Technology focus. For instance, he has done several reports on High Performance Computing applications, as well as ones on semantic search and contact management.
Mr. Morton holds an MLS from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a (graduate) Diploma in Information Technology from the University of Stirling, Scotland and a B.A. in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He has over 10 years of experience in the computer field with a focus on programming, Web development and databases, and including requirements gathering and estimating for internal and external clients. He has worked for a variety of corporations such as Xerox, British Airways, CitiGroup and PaeTec Communications. Mr. Morton has also worked in a number of libraries in Upstate New York specializing in computer applications and reference services, including being instrumental with an early virtual reference project at the Science Division of the Rochester Public Library. Most recently he was an Analyst for several years for Nerac Inc. in the Competitive Intelligence group of their Business Solutions division, where he provided business and Intellectual Property research and analysis to clients worldwide, often including technology transfer offices. Mr. Morton is principal at Black Dog Research.
